Finding the Perfect Placement
Stereo Sound Application
Wall Placement: For an ideal stereo sound experience with the Wilson Raptor ON-WALL speakers,
consider mounting them on the wall in front of your listening position.
Ear-Level Height: Position the speakers at ear-level height when you're comfortably seated in your
favorite listening spot in the room. This ensures optimal sound delivery.
Spacing Matters: To achieve the best stereo imaging place the speakers with a distance of minimum
2-3 meters between the left and right speakers. The distance between the 2 speakers should be
roughly
the same as the distance to your listening position. Experiment with these distances to find the sweet
spot. (fig.1)
Home Theatre Application
Versatile Placement: The Wilson Raptor ON-WALL speakers are versatile and can serve as front
speakers, surround speakers, and even Dolby Atmos speakers in various home theatre setups,
starting from 5.1 and beyond. (fig.2-4)
Wall Mounting: These speakers are designed to perform at their best when mounted on a wall.
Ensure they are securely mounted for optimal sound quality.
Experimentation is important
While these guidelines provide a solid starting point, remember that room acoustics and personal
preferences can influence sound quality. We encourage you to experiment with different speaker
placements within your room to discover the configuration that delivers the most satisfying audio
experience. Take the time to fine-tune the placement to suit your unique listening environment.
Wall Mounting
Key-Hole Mount: Each Raptor ON-WALL speaker features a convenient "key-hole" on the back for easy
wall mounting. When mounting, ensure you consider the weight of the speaker and use the correct
type of fastening screws suitable for your walls.

Connecting the loudspeakers
We recommend that you read the manual of your stereo amplifier or AV-receiver carefully before
connecting your loudspeakers. All connections should be made with the amplifier switched off.
Choose a cable of suitable length and diameter for each loudspeaker - a loudspeaker cable is
polarized, with twin cores of different colors, or with a rib or printed text on the insulation.
Split the twin cores insulation to a depth of about 50-60mm. Strip the insulation from each end,
leaving about 15mm of bare wire - twist wire to gather any loose strands.
Ensure that positive terminals on the speakers (marked + and colored red) are connected to the
positive output terminal on the amplifier and that negative terminals on the speakers
(marked – and colored black) are connected to the negative output terminal on the amplifier.
Incorrect connection can result in poor audio imaging and loss of bass response.
Keeping the loudspeaker cables away from AC outlets will reduce interference.
WARNING: Do not plug into a power source and mains outlet, this could result in electric shock
or fire.

Running-in period
We recommend a running-in time of your new loudspeakers of approximately 15-20 hours at normal
listening level before you decide on the final positioning, during the running-in time the driveunits will
settle in and perform as intended.
Maintenance
WILSON loudspeakers are finished using high quality material. Cleaning the loudspeakers should be
done with a damp cloth. Chemical cleaners should be avoided, as they may damage the finish.
Avoid touching the drive units, and do not use the loudspeakers as a flower, coffee or drinks table
(risk of water or liquids being spilled into the loudspeaker).
Wilson RAPTOR ON-WALL loudspeakers require no regular maintenance.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your audio setup, follow these troubleshooting steps to address common
problems:
Check Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected to your speakers, amplifier, and audio
source.
Verify Source: Confirm that the audio source (e.g., CD player, smartphone) is functioning and sending
a signal.
Inspect Speaker Wires: Examine speaker wires for damage and ensure correct connections to terminals.
Balance and Volume: Set amplifier or receiver balance and volume to appropriate levels.
Swap Speakers: Swap left and right speakers to identify if the issue is with a specific speaker.
Test Different Channels: If available, test each amplifier channel to rule out channel-specific problems.
Amplifier Status: Check if the amplifier is in "protect" mode or muted due to shorted speaker cables.
Ensure only one speaker is connected to each output terminal on the amplifier.
Physical Inspection: Inspect speakers for physical damage to drivers (woofers, tweeters).
Eliminate Interference: Ensure no nearby electronic devices are causing interference that might affect
audio quality.
Refer to Manuals: Consult the user manuals for both your speakers and amplifier or AV-receiver for
specific troubleshooting guidance and detailed instructions.
By following these troubleshooting steps and referring to the user manuals, you can resolve common
audio issues and enjoy optimal sound quality.
Safety Instructions
WARNING – read before connection and use.
By following these safety instructions, you can ensure the safe and proper use of your passive
loudspeakers in compliance with CE and other safety regulations.
Store this Instruction Manual: Please store this instruction manual for future reference.
Power Source and Mains Outlet: Do not plug the loudspeakers into a power source or mains outlet. Doing
so could result in electric shock or fire. Passive loudspeakers do not require a direct power connection.
Output Terminals: Only connect one loudspeaker to each amplifier output terminal to prevent damage
to both the speakers and the amplifier, and to avoid overheating.
Avoid Water and Moisture: Do not use this product near water or moisture. Keep the loudspeakers in a dry
environment to prevent electrical hazards and damage.
Prevent Fire Risk: To prevent the risk of fire, ensure that liquids and objects do not enter the product. This
includes avoiding spillage of liquids on or near the loudspeakers.
Ventilation and Port Openings: Do not block any ventilation and port openings on the loudspeakers.
Adequate ventilation and airflow is necessary to prevent overheating and maintain optimal performance.
Heat Sources: Do not install the loudspeakers near heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves,
or other appliances that produce heat. Maintaining a safe distance from heat sources is essential to
prevent damage.
Volume Control: Avoid excessive volume levels that may lead to distortion or overheating. High volumes
can trigger protection mechanisms, cutting off the output to protect the speakers and the amplifier.
Mounting Safety: If you are wall or ceiling mounting speakers, ensure the use of proper screws and fittings
for secure installation, considering the weight of the loudspeakers, to prevent accidents. Servicing: If the
loudspeakers have been damaged, servicing is required. Do not attempt to service the product yourself, as
this may lead to safety hazards. Contact the manufacturer to be referred to an authorized service center
near you.
