FEATURES
The GOTIE GSM-160 slicer is a reliable solution that will enable you to cut bread, cheese or ham in
your home. Thanks to it, it is possible to buy products in their entirety, which will keep them fresh
longer. It is equipped with two durable, extremely sharp, replaceable knives made of stainless steel:
one is intended for bread, the other for other products. The device has three rotational speeds and a
wide range of cutting thickness adjustment, from very thin to thick slices. Due to a number of
thoughtful solutions, the slicer is intuitive to use and completely safe for the user. Disassembly and
washing are easy and trouble free. Foldable base for easy storage. Due to the interesting color and
design, the GOTIE slicer is something more than a typical kitchen equipment.
Before using the device for the first time:
- read the instructions carefully
- make sure that none of the elements are damaged
- wash items that come into contact with food with warm water
- assemble the device in accordance with the assembly instructions
SAFETY NOTES
• Before using the slicer, read the entire operating manual.
• The slicer is intended for home use. If used for commercial purposes, the device loses its warranty
terms.
Always place the device on a flat, even surface.

• Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet when it is not in use and before cleaning.
• Do not operate the appliance if the power cord, housing or handle is visibly damaged. Then return
the device to an authorized service center.
• If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced at the manufacturer's service center in order to
avoid a hazard. Repairs may only be carried out by trained personnel. Incorrectly performed repair
can cause serious risks to the user. In the event of a fault, we advise you to contact an authorized
service center.
• Do not leave the device unattended while using it.
Use this appliance with the sliding carriage and nger guard in operating position, unless the size
and shape of the food do not allow for their use.
• Do not put the device in water or other liquid, do not use in the bathroom or in the open air.
• Place only dry products in the device.
• Handle the blade with the necessary care. There is a risk of injury especially during cleaning.
• Do not guide the food to be cut to the blade by hand, but only with the slider.
Always use the last slice device when you want to cut small pieces.
Do not cut any overly hard food like frozen foods or meat containing bones.
• Using accessories not recommended by the device manufacturer may cause injury.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
• Do not use the device for purposes other than intended.
• This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory
or mental ability, or persons who have no experience or knowledge of the equipment, unless
supervised or in accordance with the instructions for use of the equipment provided by persons
responsible for their safety.
• Children should be careful not to play with the equipment.
• Only connect the device to 230V ~ 50Hz AC mains.
• Do not pull the plug from the power socket by pulling the cord.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or table, or touch a hot surface. Keep the
slicer and power cord away from heating plates and burners.
• If possible, store the slicer away from direct sunlight and fluorescent light.

device.
USING THE SLICER
Initial operation
1. Place the appliance on an even work surface.
2. Fold the sliding carriage support open (6).
3. Secure the sliding carriage support with the interlocks (7). Please observe the markings on the
interlocks.
4. Attach the sliding carriage (5) onto the sliding carriage suport. There are guide pegs located on the
bottom of the sliding carriage. Place these pegs in the openings of the sliding carriage support. The
sliding carriage must be able to move inside the guide rail.
5. Place the nger guard (4) on the sliding carriage in order to hold the food to be sliced.
Electric operation
1. Before you plug the mains plug into the outlet, check whether the system voltage that you want to
use, matches the one of the appliance. You will nd information about it on the type plate.
2. Connect the appliance to a correctly installed grounded outlet.
Turning on/off
The appliance is equipped with a safety switch combination. It can only be turned on if you press the
unlock switch (2) on the back rst and then press the on/off switch (2) on the top at the same time.
When cutting, release the unlock switch.
When releasing the on/off switch, the appliance will turn off automatically.

Speed switch (1)
Use the speed switch to set the speed level. In addition, you can set this switch to “0” position to
secure the appliance against unauthorized use.
Level 0 = off
Level 1 = slow
Level 2 = medium
Level 3 = fast
In the case of soft products, choose a low speed, in the case of hard products - a high speed.
Slicing
If you want to cut especially thin, lightly moisten the blade with a moist towel. This way you prevent
the cut food from sticking to the blade.
1. Use the stepless control (8) to adjust the slice thickness.Maximum slice thickness: approx. 15 mm.
2. Use the speed switch to choose a speed level between 1 and 3.
3. Connect the appliance to a properly installed isolated ground receptacle.
4. Set the food to be cut onto the slider.
5. If necessary, slightly Push the food to be cut gently in the direction of the blade.
6. Turn on the appliance using the switches (2).
7. Guide the slide back and forth in a consistent movement while pushing gently.
Ending operation
1. Wait until the knife comes to a complete stop after finishing cutting.
2. Set the regulator knob (8) to the "0" position to secure the blade.
Disconnect the plug from the socket.
Do not use the device continuously for more than 3 minutes. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes
before re-use. The continuous working time of the device must be observed. Exceeding the working
time and the lack of sufficient breaks in the device operation can lead to irreparable damage to the
engine or other elements of the device.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Before cleaning, check that the device is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down.
• The surface of the blade is very sharp. Handle it with caution!
• Never immerse the appliance in water or rinse it under running water.
• Clean the housing and blade with a slightly damp cloth. Remove any residual water with a dry cloth.
• Wash guide and pusher in water with cleaning agent and dry afterwards.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Do not use metal brushes or rough materials to clean the device, as it may damage its surface.
Blade
• Do not remove grease (if present) from the back of the blade.
• Do not clean the blades in a bowl with water.
• Food residues may after a long time violate the material from which the knife is made, which may
lead to rust.
Disassembly and installation of the blade:
1. Slide the guide forward or remove it.
2. There is a blade interlock in the center of the blade. Turn the lock clockwise.
3. Grasp the blade for its center and carefully remove it with a glove-protected hand.
4. Wipe the edge and front of the blade with a damp towel. Remove any residual water with a dry
cloth.
5. Set the blade back in the locking mechanism.
6. Turn the screw counterclockwise until you hear a click.
7. Check that the blade is correctly mounted.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The device is made of materials that can be reprocessed or recycled. They should be forwarded to
the appropriate point that collects and recycles electrical and electronic equipment.
WARRANTY
The device is intended for private use in the household, it can not be used for professional purposes.
The warranty expires in case of improper operation.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken
to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment
and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to
obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household
appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
