With the factory settings supplied, the remote control can control
approx. 90% of allGRUNDIG devices. Thereisnoneed to make any
settings. If the remote control does not work, select one of the setting
optionsdescribed in Section 5.

3. Safety instructions
Do not use theuniversal remote control in damp environmentsand
avoid contact with splashing water.
Keep the universal remote control away from heat sourcesand do not
expose it to direct sunlight.
As with allelectrical products, the universal remotecontrolshould be
kept out of the reach of children.
This product is intended for private, non-commercialuse only.
Use the product only for the intended purpose.
Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating and use it in
dry rooms only.
Do not use theproduct in areas in which electronic products arenot
permitted.
Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.

Warning -Batteries
When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and-
markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.Failure to do so
could result in the batteriesleaking or exploding.
Only use batteries that matchthe specied type. Keep the
instructions for the correct choice of batteries included with the
operating instructions of devices safe for futurereference.
Beforeyou insert the batteries, clean thebatterycontacts andthe
polaritycontacts.
Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
Replace allthe batteries in aset at the same time.
Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of differenttypes or
from different manufacturers.
Remove the batteries from products that arenot beingusedfor
an extended period (unless these arebeing kept ready for an
emergency).
Do not short-circuit batteries.
Do not charge batteries.
Do not burn batteries or heat them up.
Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter
the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentallyharmful
heavymetals.
Remove spent batteries from theproduct and disposeofthem
withoutdelay.
Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and
at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at
high altitudes).
Ensurethat batteries with damagedhousings do
not come into contact withwater.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
4. First steps -Inserting the batteries
Note
Use 2type AAA batteries.
Remove the battery compartment cover on the underside of the
remote control (Pic.A).
Ensurethe correct polarity (+/-) of the batteries andthe battery
compartment.
Insertthe batteries (Pic. B).
Reattach the battery compartment cover on the remote control
(Pic. C).
Note -code memory
This remote control saves the settings even during abatterychange.
Note:Energy saving function
The remote control switches itself off automatically if abutton is
pressed for longer than 15 seconds. This prolongs thelife of the
batteries if the remote control is stuckinaplace wherethe buttons
are pressed permanently,e.g. betweensofa cushions.
Note: Lowbattery display
This remote control indicates when thebatteries aregettinglow.
If the status LED ashes 2times after abutton is pressed, the
batteries areweak and should be replaced promptly.
5. Setup
With the factorysettings supplied, the remote controlcan control
approx. 90% of allSAMSUNG devices. Thereisnoneed to make any
settings. If the remote control does not work, selectone of thesetting
options mentioned in 5.1and 5.2below.
5.1 Code input
CODE list:
001, 002,003,004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 013,
014, 015,016,017, 018, 019, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025, 026,
027, 028,029,030, 031, 032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037, 038, 039,

1. Press and hold [MUTE] and [POWER] simultaneously for approx.3
sec. until the status LED lights up.
2. Enter the three-digit code from the code list. When allthreedigits
have been entered, the status LED goes out.
3. Test the functions of the remotecontrol. If the function does not
work properly, try other device codes: [002],[003],[004],etc.
Note
If you have entered an invalid device code, the status LED ashes
twice and then shows asteadylight again. To exit thedevicecode
entry,press the mute button [MUTE].
5.2 Code search
1. Press and hold [MUTE] and [POWER] simultaneously for approx.3
sec. until the status LED lights up.
2. Press the [CH+ or CH-] button to start the code search. Witheach
button press,the remote control sends anew code to your TV. If
your TV switches to adifferentprogramme, also test thefound
device code using the [POWER], [VOL+], [VOL-], [MENU] buttons
and the number keys 0-9. If the functions work, press the[MUTE]
button to save the device code and end the search.
3. If the functions do not work, repeat the searchbypressing the
[CH+] button.
