Original text translation
WARNING:
Prior to starting operation of the
transformer-based soldering gun,
hereinafter referred to as the
«soldering gun», read carefully this
instruction manual. Improper use of the
soldering gun may lead to serious hazards to
the user and /or the working environments,
such as fires, electric shocks or scalding.

SAFETY RULES:
sense while soldering. Do never use the
soldering gun while being exhausted or
under influence of medicines, alcohol or
other intoxicants.
4. Do never use the soldering gun without
appropriate protection for eyes, such as
special goggles or a face shield. Protect
your hands with gloves. It is also
recommended to use a protecting apron.
5. Prolonged soldering jobs lead to formation
of fumes that are hazardous for health. In
such cases always provide efficient
ventilation of the workplace.
6. Before each use of the soldering gun check
the tool itself as well as the power cord (6)
and its plug for possible wear or damage. It
is forbidden to use defective tools.
7. Do never use the soldering gun at moist or
damp locations. The tool can be used
merely in dry rooms, far away from
flammable materials.

źAfter having the soldering gun plugged into the wall outlet, actuate
the trigger switch (4) and hold it depressed but no longer than 12
seconds. After depressing the trigger switch the lamp (3) goes on to
illuminate the working area.
źHeat the piece to be soldered by touching it with the heated soldering
tip (1) (see Fig. B, page 1).
źPlace the flux-containing solder on the piece to be soldered and melt
some solder with the soldering tip (1) (see Fig. C, page 1).
NOTE: When solder without a flux is used the piece to be soldered must be
treated with some rosin before soldering.
źTo switch the soldering gun off it is enough to release the trigger
switch (4), which switches the illuminating lamp (3) off. STORAGE:
źWait a while until the fresh solder cools down and cures (see Fig. D, The soldering gun should be stored at a safe place inaccessible to children

REPLACEMENT OF THE SOLDERING TIP: PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT:
NOTE: The presented symbol denotes that old equipment must
never be disposed together with other wastes (under the
penalty of a fine). Hazardous components of electric or
electronic equipment may adversely affect the natural
environment and human health.
Each household may contribute to recovery and reuse (recycling) of old
machinery and equipment. Both in Poland and Europe a system for
recovery of used equipment either exists or is being developed. The
system obliges all organizations that sell such equipment to collect back
the used machinery and appliances. Moreover, general purpose
collecting points for such equipment are also available.
unplugged from the wall outlet.
źIt is forbidden to polish soldering tips as they are coated with a
protective layer of solder (the working part) and nickel (the
remaining part of the tip body). Polishing leads to deterioration of
soldering properties (adhesion of solder to the tip) and quick
corrosion.
źTo clean the tip use only a special sponge that cools down and
moistens the tip or, even better, a special cleaning agent for soldering
tips that is more efficient and needs no cooling of the soldering tip.
źPlease refer to the warranty sheet to find the service workshop
relevant for specific locations in your country.
NOTE: The soldering tip (1) should be replaced only when the power cord (6)
is unplugged and the gun is completely cooled down.
After prolonged use the soldering tip (1) wears out and must be replaced.
To replace the tip unscrew two knurled nuts (2) that fix the tip to the
heater and pull out the old tip (see Fig. E, page 1). Then place a new tip in
the socket and fix it to the heater body by careful tightening of the both
nuts (see fig. F, page 1). We recommend using soldering tips of the MEGA
brand as spare parts.
Ordering code: 60089 (a kit of 3 tips).

NOTE: Prior to starting maintenance jobs make sure that the soldering gun is
