Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of your drain auger.
INTENDED USE
The product is intended to be used only by adults who
have read and understood the instructions and warnings
in this manual, and can be considered responsible for their
actions.
The product is intended for clearing obstructions from
sinks, toilets, and bathtubs.
Do not use the product in any way other than those stated
for intended use.
WARNING
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations
and specifications provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
DRAIN AUGER SAFETY WARNINGS
Only grasp the rotating cable with gloves recommended
by the manufacturer. Latex or loose-fitting gloves or
rags can become wrapped around the cable and may
result in serious personal injury.
Do not allow the cutter to stop turning while the cable is
turning. This can overstress the cable and may cause
twisting, kinking or breaking of the cable and may result
in serious personal injury.
Use latex or rubber gloves inside the gloves
recommended by the manufacturer, goggles, face
shields, protective clothing, and respirator when
chemicals, bacteria or other toxic or infectious
substances are suspected to be in a drain line. Drains
may contain chemicals, bacteria and other substances
that may cause burns, be toxic or infectious or may
result in other serious personal injury.
Practice good hygiene. Do not eat or smoke while
handling or operating the tool. After handling or
operating drain cleaning equipment, use hot, soapy
water to wash hands and other body parts exposed to
drain contents. This will help reduce the risk of health
hazards due to exposure to toxic or infectious material.
Only use the drain cleaner for the recommended drain
sizes. Using the wrong size drain cleaner can lead to
twisting, kinking or breaking of the cable and may result
in personal injury.
Always wear eye protection with side shields when
assembling parts, operating the product, or performing
maintenance. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
serious personal injury.
Ensure that drain tab is closed during operation.
Position the drain auger within 100 mm of the drain
or inlet being cleared. Operating the tool at greater
distances can result in the cable twisting or binding.
Avoid running the tool in reverse for extended periods
of time as this can damage the cable.
Never place your hand near the drum or the cable as
it is rotating. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
serious personal injury.
Clogged drains may contain bacteria, cleaning
solutions, or other potentially harmful substances.
Always wear protective clothing, eye protection,
and gloves while operating this tool to prevent these
substances from contacting your skin and eyes.
When removing the cable from a drain, remove it slowly
to avoid “splash back”. Use warm, soapy water to
clean hands and other body parts that may have been
exposed to potentially harmful substances.
Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical
outlet; therefore, they are always in operating condition.
Be aware of possible hazards when not using your
battery tool or when changing accessories. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or
serious personal injury.
Do not place battery tools or their batteries near fire or
heat. This will reduce the risk of explosion and possibly
injury.
Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not use
a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or
received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to
explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged
battery immediately.
Batteries can explode in the presence of a source
of ignition, such as a pilot light. To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury, never use any cordless product
in the presence of open flame. An exploded battery
can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, flush with
water immediately.
Do not charge battery tool in a damp or wet location.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.
For best results, your battery tool should be charged in
a location where the temperature is more than 10°C but
less than 38°C. To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, do not store outside or in vehicles.
Under extreme usage or temperature conditions,
battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact
with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
If liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water
for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical
attention. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
serious personal injury.
Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and
use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you
loan someone this tool, loan them these instructions
also.
Ambient temperature range for tool during operation is
between 0°C and 40°C.
Ambient temperature range for tool storage is between
0°C and 40°C.
The recommended ambient temperature range for the
charging system during charging is between 10°C and
38°C.
